Robbery Attempt By Fake Policemen With Fake Gun Foiled By RRS (Photo)

Robbers who posed as policemen, to snatch a Toyota Camry and a Corolla from two drivers near Lagos Dump Site on Lekki – Epe Expressway with a fake gun yesterday, ran out of luck as the robbery attempt was foiled by an RRS patrol teamof the Lagos State Police Command.

It was gathered that the robbers who were chased into a bush, posed as policemen with wooden gun but fled upon sighting an RRS patrol team, leaving behind the occupants of the vehicles they held hostage and one of their improvised guns.

Though no arrest was made, however one of the victims disclosed they were on their way to Epe to celebrate the new year when they were stopped by two robbers who posed as policemen, before their two accomplices who were lurking in the bush came out asking them to surrender their keys.
