A mum, dad and sister have died from coronavirus in just two weeks leaving a devastated son and brother feeling like someone has "stolen my heart".
After husband and wife Keith, 84, and Jean MacVicar, 82, died a fortnight ago, their devastated family were dealt another blow when the couple's daughter Jayne also died of the killer bug.
The mum-of-two, 62, developed telltale Covid-19 symptoms soon after her parents' deaths, with her younger brother Richard previously asking friends to pray for her recovery.
He posted on social media: “Come on, Jayne, stay strong and fight this please.”
But on Saturday the 60-year-old said: “It’s with heartbreaking regret to say Jayne has lost her battle for life.
“At least we have the comfort of knowing she is back with mum and dad.
“To lose half your family in the space of two weeks feels like someone has cut me open and stolen my heart. So, so wrong.”
Before her death, tragic Jayne had posted multiple messages on Facebook pleading with Brits not to ignore social distancing guidelines and to isolate at home.
The former Staffordshire Police crime analyst had swapped her profile picture for one that said: "Stay home, it could save lives."
The family, from Burton-on-Trent, Staffs, are now facing three funerals in quick succession with only a small amount of mourners able to attend each one.
