Family Tradition: Family Watch Son Make Love To Wife For The First Time (Photo)

An unusual story concerning a family living in Woodlands New Town, has taken over Singaporean social media after a photo was posted by the man’s uncle and it shows a male and a female in bed, in the middle of intercourse, while members of their family watch on.
The uncle revealed that it was a family tradition that has been passed down through generations. His words: “While most people may consider it odd, for our family there is nothing more proud than celebrating a son, brother or nephew having sex for the first time.
We see it as the last step on the long journey to adulthood, and it’s also a special chance to witness the moment that a new life is formed. I also had my family present to witness my first intercourse. I felt less nervous having my family there to accompany me, and also give me guidance on how to proceed.
At first I had trouble entering my girlfriend, but my mother suggested I take things more slowly and relax, and I was able to eventually slip it in. I snapped this photo right at the moment before he came, and it was truly a beautiful scene.” The photo also shows the man’s mother and sister on the edge of the bed to provide tips and encouragement….

I Feel Pity For Lai Mohammed - President Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari says he feels pity for minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, for having the responsibility of explaining all his actions and his inaction to Nigerians.

Speaking on Monday when he hosted state house correspondents at the presidential villa in Abuja, Buhari said he and his cabinet members have been doing their best to deliver the change which the APC had promised Nigerians during the 2015 electioneering campaign.

The president described his ministers as hardworking, saying “One of the men I pity is Lai Mohammed. Everyday he is on TV explaining our performance or lack of it.”

He said his ministers toil day and night to ensure that his administration succeeds. “The ministers sit down day and night to work. Some of them have literarily lost weight because they were sleeping less and eating less (while working on the budget). They were working on every kobo to be spent.

“We recently just found out that we are poor because we don’t have anything to fall back to. This is the condition we found ourselves and this change mantra had to go through hell up till yesterday.

“And for you to talk to whoever came to visit us throughout that year, I wonder how each of your diaries would be, because people were expecting this change mantra in their own way.

“How do you define change? Luckily our party identified three major items, security, economy and corruption... I think we will recover by the fourth quarter of the year.”

Buhari Inherited Burden From Jonathan, It Will Take Time To Clear The Rot -Prof Wale Soyinka

Prof Wole Soyinka has said it would take time for President Muhammadu Buhari to clear the rot he inherited from his predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, whose administration, he believed, left a “heavy baggage” and “burden” that may take a while to tackle.

But, the playwright urged President to sustain efforts at improving the economy. He spoke in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The literary icon was scheduled to speak at a public lecture on the theme: Politics, Culture and the New Africa.

He said: “This (Buhari) administration has inherited a heavy baggage. While I am critical in some aspects of the priority, I think that to clear up the mess left by previous administrations is going to take quite a while, especially in the economy sector. So, I don’t use words like optimism or pessimism; I’m just pragmatic. I look at what is on the ground and, of course, wherever I can intervene, I do both privately and publicly.”

Also speaking, another renowned author, Prof Kole Omotoso, said the Buhari administration had tackled a number of things, but added that the President must intensify his effort to alleviate the suffering of the people.

“We are going in the right direction but in the process, we need to do so many things. We need to look at not just the suffering of the people but the way people seem to indulge in bearing suffering. It is as if even if you try to solve the problem for them they will prefer to be suffering and smiling,” Prof Omotoso said.

Rare Condition! Baby Hits Puberty At Age 1, Develops Eggplant Like That Of A 25-Year-Old

In a rare case, a one-year-old boy from Delhi has developed sex organs of a full-grown man – a condition that affects one among many.

The boy Akash (name changed) suffers from the rare medical disorder called precocious or early puberty.

When the toddler was just six months old, his grandparents noticed the abnormal growth. He wasn’t just taller than other babies of his age but his p3nis too was developing alarmingly.

“We thought he was just a big baby but later everyone started to point out that that this growth couldn’t be normal. His p3nis had grown to that of a man’s size and we knew something was wrong,” said the boy’s mother, Shabnam Praveen.

“Usually this disorder is caused due to brain or stomach tumour, but we didn’t find anything as such in blood reports. The child was lucky in a way because tumour usually increases complications and leads to cancer,” said the boy’s doctor Dr Vaishakhi Rustagi, consulting paediatric endocrinologist at the Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh.

When Akash was brought to her, he was already 18 months old. His testosterone level was like a 25-year-old man’s and his brain development was like a 12-year-old teenager. Usually, a one-year-old baby’s testosterone level is 20 nanogram per deciliter but his were 500-600 ng/dl. Due to which he also started getting facial and body hair.

Dr Rustagi said only one in 100,000 have this condition for toddlers in age group of one year and one in 10,000 for boys aged eight to 10. Precocious puberty is more common in girls aged eight to 10, especially living in urban areas, she said.

“Since the baby was so young, he could hardly understand the changes taking place in his body. He would experience sexual urges. Precocious puberty is traumatic for a child of his age and it makes them violent. His muscle strength increased to a level that even his parents couldn’t control him,” Dr Rustagi said.

The kid was put on hormone therapy and within five months his hormonal developments and genital size decreased. He is given a dose once a month that blocks the effects of hormones. The treatment will continue till he is mentally stable enough to understand and accept the changes in his body.

“If kids with this disorder are not treated, they stop growing after a few years and remain just 3-4.5 ft tall,” Rustagi said.

Gunmen Murder Hotel Owner Over Woman In Lagos

Some suspected hired assassins have killed Michael Ogunnusi, the owner of the Allonze Hotel on Ishawo Road, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects, who entered the hotel on a motorcycle, pretended that they were lodgers. The security guard who opened the gate was said to have been tied up by the armed men.
They were said to have made straight for the victim’s room in the hotel and shot him dead. Our correspondent reliably gathered that the deceased was killed for allegedly dating the wife of the gunmen’s leader. It was learnt that the suspects took Ogunnusi’s phone before fleeing the hotel.
According to a source,  "the men were four in number and brought a car which was parked outside.
He also said, “While one was in the car, three went in on a motorcycle, pretending to be customers; they got separate rooms to stay. However, no sooner than they got their keys that they went to the man’s room. One knocked at his door as if he was one of the hotel workers. As he opened the door, they opened gunfire on him.”
However, a police source, who said the incident happened around 11pm on Wednesday, explained that the suspects first tied up the gateman.
He said, “There were four of them and they spoke Ijaw language. They entered into the hotel on a motorcycle. They deceived the gateman by telling him they wanted to book a room. But immediately he opened the gate, they beat and tied him up.
“It is possible they were operating based on information from an insider because immediately they entered, they went into the man’s room in the hotel.  He begged them not to kill him. He said he was ready to offer them anything, but they shot him dead. They left with his phone.”
A source said the victim was killed for dating a woman that was not his wife “He was dating a woman that was the wife of the suspects’ leader. On the night that he was killed, he was with the woman and she had already been arrested by the police.
It was learnt that policemen from the Owutu Police Division removed the corpse and took it to a mortuary. The victim’s wife, Mrs. Bolanle Ogunnusi, did not deny the allegation that the victim was caught with a woman.
She said, “I am his wife and we have five children together. The hotel is closed. I don’t know (if he was killed over a woman). The police have not released his corpse.”
The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Damasus Ozoani, confirmed the incident, adding that four suspects had been arrested.
“The case has been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investgation, Panti,” he added. Culled from Punch...

NBA Player Shot Dead After Going Into A Wrong Apartment Thinking It Was That Of His Girlfriend

New Orleans Pelicans star Bryce Dejean-Jones has been shot dead after allegedly breaking down the door of a Dallas apartment he believed belonged to his girlfriend.

The 23-year-old NBA player died early on Saturday morning after he was shot in the abdomen.

A man who is a resident at the Camden Belmont Apartments in Dallas, Texas, told police he was sleeping when he heard someone kick down his front door shortly after 3am, Fox 4 reported.

He told police that he grabbed his gun and shot Dejean-Jones when he entered his bedroom.
Police found the basketball player in a pool of blood in an outdoor passageway. He was taken to hospital but could not be saved.

The gunman told police that he called out to the intruder, but opened fire after they did not respond.

It is legal in Texas for someone to use deadly force in order to protect themselves from intruders.

Dejean-Jones was visiting his girlfriend for his daughter's first birthday, which was Saturday, according to his agent, Scott W Nichols.

He said the girlfriend returned to the apartment first while Dejean-Jones went for a walk after they had gone out.

She lives on the fourth floor, and Dejean-Jones, who was visiting the complex for the first time, went to the third.

'He went to the wrong apartment unfortunately and I think he thought his girlfriend locked him out, so he was knocking on the door, banging on the door, it's locked,' Nichols said.

'So one thing led to another.'

'He was attempting to enter the apartment which led to him ultimately being in the wrong place at the wrong time,' Nichols said in a statement earlier on Saturday.
Sources reportedly told ESPN that Dejean-Jones had an argument with the child's mother before the shooting.

At this stage no one has been arrested and it is not clear if the man who shot Dejean-Jones will face charges.

1999: The Year Of Democracy (What You Need To Know)

Former General Olusegun Obasanjo, previously a military ruler of Nigeria (1976-79), was inaugurated President on May 29, 1999, promising "fair and transparent government", and vowing to tackle the difficult legacy of previous military regimes. However, one year on, Nigeria's democracy remains fragile, and, despite some important positive developments, there remain serious challenges to the country's stability and to the new political order.

Promising signs of democratic change came swiftly on the heels of Obasanjo's inauguration, and included the creation of panels to investigate past corruption and human rights abuses, and the forced retirement of key military officers involved in previous military regimes. Nigeria became an active participant in regional affairs, helping to broker the Sierra Leone peace agreement and committing financial and military resources to the peacekeeping operation.

Nigeria's democratic transition ushered in a new era in US-Nigeria relations. The end of Nigeria's "international pariah" status was symbolized by President Obasanjo's official visit to the US in October 1999. In the same month, US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright visited Nigeria and announced a proposal to increase US aid four-fold in support of the democratic transition. Nigeria represents an important economic partner for the US, with bilateral trade on the increase - from $4.9 billion in 1994 to $6.7 billion in 1996. The US imports 8% of its oil from the Delta region.

Despite these positive developments, Nigeria's democracy remains fragile. Particularly problematic is the challenge of economic rejuvenation in the context of years of corrupt rule and a massive external debt burden, as well as the difficult issues of regional inequalities, ethnic and religious tensions, and the necessity for more equitable distribution of the wealth generated by Nigeria's natural resources. Nowhere is this issue of responsible resource management and the need for democratic governance more urgent than in Nigeria's oil-producing Delta region.

For years, the Niger Delta has been the site of a highly complex crisis, rooted in the long-term political and economic alienation of its communities, the destruction of their environment and the oppression of their peoples by the military state in league with the multinational corporations that exploit the region's oil (Shell, Chevron etc). The reliance of past regimes on repressive tactics over dialogue, and their repeated failure to address the Delta's fundamental problems, made this a human rights crisis and a threat to Nigeria's stability.

While President Obasanjo visited to the Delta in June 1999 and promised to bring greater development to the region, events since then, in particular the violent military operation in Odi in November 1999, have raised questions as to the government's credibility in taking a new and democratic approach to the problem. With rival minority ethnic groups competing for resources and political voice, and with the Delta communities engaged in a long-term struggle with the oil companies and security forces, the seemingly intractable crisis in the Delta remains a tinderbox in the new Nigeria.

The latest flashpoint to threaten Nigeria's still-fragile democracy is the issue of religious violence, related to the opportunistic moves by some Muslim-dominated northern states to use the new democratic climate to propose the adoption of Sharia (Islamic Law). The religious issue has always been volatile in Nigeria, but has become increasingly divisive since the Sharia issue came to the fore in recent months. Religious protests and bloody clashes between Christians and Muslims have fueled further violent ethnic fighting throughout the country, already on the increase since the democratic transition, and hundreds have been killed and displaced.

This most recent challenge to the still-young democratic government is viewed by many commentators as the most serious threat to the nation's unity since its return to democracy. It is symptomatic of the difficulties inherent in establishing democracy in such an ethnically-diverse country after so many years of military rule.

Tested by such crises, Nigeria's democracy remains fragile, and the challenges faced by Obasanjo and his government threaten to undo much of what has been achieved since military rule was ended. There are still many questions about the internal security of the new Nigeria. If 1999 was a critical year for democracy in Nigeria, 2000 will be no less critical in determining the country's future shape and stability. The president faces the daunting task of rebuilding a petroleum-based economy, whose revenues have been squandered through corruption and mismanagement, and institutionalizing democracy. In addition, the OBASANJO administration must defuse longstanding ethnic and religious tensions, if it is to build a sound foundation for economic growth and political stability. Despite some irregularities, the April 2003 elections marked the first civilian transfer of power in Nigeria's history.

So Democracy continues till date.  From Olusegun Obasanjo - Umaru Yar'dua -  Goodluck Jonathan - Muhammadu Buhari.

God bless Nigeria,  God bless Africa...
