Nigeria has been witnessing a steady decline on the monthly FIFA Rankings but Thursday’s was new all-time low for the three-time African champions who are now only a shadow of their former selves.
As reflected in the July rankings, Nigeria is now 17th in Africa with 514 points.
Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying rivals Algeria remain the top team in Africa and 32nd in the world.
Argentina remain top of the July Rankings as FIFA stated that a total of 228 ‘A’ internationals contributed to the new order but the Super Eagles were not involved in any international matches last month.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 11 August 2016. Our football need help!
