Police Arrest Two Over Production Of Fake Number Plates And Registration Documents
Isiaka Adegbesin, 38, and Mrs Ogunleye Olushola, 42, said to be living in Itoshi area of Ogun State, have been arrested for allegedly printing fake vehicle number plates and registration documents.
Investigation revealed that they forged different documents, including National Certificate of Road Worthiness, police diary extract, Proof of Ownership Certificate, seal, stamps, among others. They're arrested in the act, while other gang members escaped.

A French man is elated after discovering the house he inherited from a deceased relative in Normandy was used to hide $3.7 million dollars' worth of gold.
It was when the home’s new owner began to move around furniture that he uncovered the stash, a box of coins attached to the underside of an item of furniture.
The hunt for gold continued when the heir began finding larger amounts of gold in other storage locations of the estate. “It was under the furniture, under piles of linen, in the bathroom ... everywhere,” a local auctioneer Nicolas Fierfort told Agence France-Presse about the gold. Fierfort admitted to missing the treasure himself upon a visit to appraise furniture within the house.
It was extremely well hidden,” he said in the report.
Eventually, a massive pile of 23-pound gold bars stared the new homeowner in the face.
An estimated 220 pounds of the precious metal was
located all around the home, including 5,000 gold pieces, two 26-pound bars and 37 smaller bars weighing two- pounds each.
The gold, after the examination of experts, was dated back to the 1950s and 1960s when the man’s wealthy relative had bought the precious metal.
Certificates of the gold’s authenticity were also found in the deceased’s estate.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is being urged by a number of top computer scientists to call for a recount of vote totals in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, according to a CNN report.
The computer scientists believe they have found evidence that vote totals in the three states could have been manipulated or hacked and presented their findings to top Clinton aides on a call last Thursday.
The scientists, among them J. Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society, told the Clinton campaign they believe there is a questionable trend of Clinton performing worse in counties that relied on electronic voting machines compared to paper ballots and optical scanners, according to the source.

It was the day Abia State Chapter of PDP held primary election to select chairmanship candidates ahead of next month’s Local Government elections. Her husband, who narrated the sad incident, pointed accusing fingers at some prominent politicians from Ngwa Ukwu and Umuha areas of the Council.
He said: “On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at about 11.30 am, I was in my house resting after returning from the farm. I got a call from my elder brother, that my wife was involved in fire outbreak in her office.
When I got to the hospital and saw my wife, I lost control; it was like the end of the world for me. I asked her if she recognized the people that set the office on fire. She mentioned three persons, all of them natives of Isiala Ngwa North.
She said that three boys came to the chairman’s office and one of them made a phone call after which one of them poured the fuel around chairman’s office and lit it up."
Orioha said that his late wife told him that she was crying and pleading with the arsonists to allow her escape from the fire but they refused. One of her colleagues died instantly during the inferno.
He also lamented that the Transition chairman whom his late wife worked for did not come to see her at FMC or orthopaedic hospital but came to their house after the woman died.
Interjecting, his elder brother, Ugonna Orioha, alleged that: “On October 19, 2016, some notable politicians from Ngwa Ugwu and Umuha visited our community to solicit support for their aspirant running for chairmanship of the council.
Some of them threatened that if one of the aspirants, Ginger Onwusibe, wins the election, blood will flow, that they will burn down the council. Now see what happened about two weeks after."

The incident happened at Eyin Ogun Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, in Lagos State when Suleiman received several machete cut which led to his death.
The accused person were found guilty for the death of the deceased by Justice Kudirat Jose of a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja.
Justice Jose found the condemned persons guilty of the charges conspiracy and murder preferred against them by the prosecution team, Mr. Babatunde Oguntemowo and Mr. Olarewaju Ajanaku.
Justice Jose said in her judgment, “I pronounce the defendants guilty as charged in respect of the offence of murder and conspiracy and are hereby sentenced to death by hanging by the neck until their death.” The trial judge however cautioned youths to learn from the ordeal that befell the convicts emphasizing that young ones should be careful of going about to attack people to settle scores.
Trouble began for the convicts when four years ago they were invited by a neighbor to celebrate the Christmas with him.
They said they were in the apartment of their host when a young boy came in and informed them that a brother to the deceased, Akeem Afolabi, had threatened to deal with them.
During trial, the convicts had told the court that they went to inquire the reason for the threat but that while discussing, Akeem ordered them to get away.
They claimed in their defence that Akeem had gone inside the house to get a machete with which he tried to attack one of them but that the attack was blocked by another person whose hand was injured in the process.
The convicts claimed that it was while they were trying to dodge Akeem who was wielding a machete and coming after them that the deceased received machete cuts in the waist region.
They said they got to know some days later that a doctor had pronounced the deceased dead.
But the trial judge faulted their testimony pointing out that it sounded rehearsed and polished.
The judge said she found the evidence presented by the prosecution witnesses led by their counsels, Messrs. Oguntemowo and Ajanaku more credible.
She subsequently jailed the convicts 12 years for the offence of conspiracy, starting from the day of arrest, and death by hanging for the offence of murder.
