UNICAL Recalls Professor Suspended Over Alleged R*pe Of Student

The University of Calabar has recalled Professor Cyril Ndifon, the former Dean, Faculty of Law, who was suspend after being accused of s3xually assaulting a 20-year-old student in his office in 2015, CrossRiverWatch reports.

The lecturer was suspended for allegedly raping the female student after tearing her script in the classroom for malpractice. The lecturer allegedly invited Ms Simeobong Nkang to his office where he forcibly had s3x with her.

The professor was briefly arrested and detained by the police and later released before he was suspended by the panel set up to investigate him.

According to reports, Prof Ndifon has now been reinstated as the Dean of the Faculty. A recent court ruling reportedly exonerated him of any wrong doing. He was welcomed by staff and students of the faculty, last week.
