Investigations Are Ongoing Regarding Detained Arms-laden Russian Plane - Nigerian Military

                       
The Nigerian military says it is still investigating the motive and destination of a Russian Antonov cargo plane earlier intercepted at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.

A statement issued by through PR Nigeria said military investigators have found a huge cache of weapons and a helicopter tucked inside the cargo plane. 

The statement further states that the crew members on board the aircraft are currently under protective custody.

 Earlier, Premiuntimes revealed that the aircraft was heading towards Chad when the Nigerian airforce intercepted and detained its crew.
