Another Anniversary, and still counting! Nasfat Nottingham !! Flourishing in the Rahmah of Allah(SWT).
Alhamdulilahi, within the short time of our existence as Nasfat Nottingham group, again this year,the compact group is proud to have been involved in several humanitarian projects within our local community and beyond. Including but not limited to the invitation by the Nigerian Student Union of the University of Nottingham for the support of internally displaced persons in Abuja camp with a whooping sum of £3000 in materials by the Muslim Hands Nigeria directorate, with directives from their headquarters in Nottingham.
Another achievement being The Weekly Nasfat 1hour radio programme transmitting every Saturday from 4- 5pm UK time showcasing Nasfat objectives , challenges and programmes as well as educating Muslim community within Nasfat community and beyond on the moderate teachings of Islam without transgressing from Quran and Hadith.
Our spiritual programmes can not be undermine ranging from our yet successful 2nd edition of the yearly "Ilekun Ola" on the last Friday of the year, Ramadan and many more.I can confirm at least visitation of 25 Scholars within UK and Nigeria to the group from last year 10th August till date, Jazaakumullahu khayran to them all.
We have also assisted an up coming baby group of Nasfat in Düsseldorf, Germany with relentless effort of our Missioner, as well as the visitation of the Nottinghamshire Commissioner of Police Mr Paddy Tipping.
Arabic weekend classes for the children with a hired professional (NasNotts Academy) adopting the syllabus of The Karimia Institute,also participated at the last Sunnah & Self Esteem annual Quran and Quiz competition where we achieved the feat of 1st and 2nd position in quiz and memorisation respectively at the junior categories .
Finally, we recorded to our credit the graduation of one PHD, 4 MSc with distinctions(All 1st class Upper) in Sha Allah. Hajia Aminat Mustapha El Imam and Brother Abdul Fatai Tijanni made us proud with outstanding performance at a programme in the USA where our brother got the best poster presentation and the sister bagged an award following her initiative on the IDPs Project at De Montfort University Leicester.
In conclusion, I wish to appreciate and thank the membership of the group for their steadfastness and other efforts in terms of cash and energy in order to achieve the aforementioned. May Allah SWT answer your supplications beyond your own imaginations bikudirati Rahman.
Our challenges as usual is finance and the need to have a permanent place of our own(Nasfat Nottingham ISLAMIC Centre), the project committee will launch appeal for the project very soon, may Allah ease our affairs
