Robber Kills His Roommate Who Saw Him During Operation Over Fear Of Exposure In Ogun State (Photo)

A 20-year-old man, Badmus Gbadamosi, has allegedly killed his roommate, Friday Michael, for fear he would expose him after discovering he was an armed robber. The incident occurred on Saturday at their residence at Mamu area of Awa Ijebu, a community in Ogun State. Gbadamosi allegedly killed Michael, 27, with a locally-made pistol about 6.30 a.m. while he was still sleeping.

It was learnt that the deceased had accosted him on two occasions while coming back from robbery operations, a situation which created fear in Gbadamosi that he would be exposed. The sound of the gunshot attracted other occupants of the house, who quickly alerted the police. The suspect was arrested by the policemen attached to Awa Ijebu Police Division.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect is a member of a notorious gang terrorising the area. He said: “It was the fear that the deceased may expose him that prompted him to snuff life out of him. He has made useful statement to the police which will help in nabbing other members of his group.”
