Man Impersonates Commissioner Of Police, Dupes Senator Of N1.8m (Photo)

One Ibrahim Mohammed Maigandi has been arrested for impersonating the Zamfara state police commissioner, Usman Nagogo, and duping the senator representing Zamfara West, Lawali Hassan Dan Iya, of N1.8million.
He was nabbed after the police received a report from Senator Iya that one man claiming to be CP Usman Nagogo, called him and demanded for a sallah gift.
When the suspect called, the Senator directed his personal assistant to collect the suspect’s account number and transfer N200,000 to him.
Thereafter, Maigandi called again and told him that he had given him 9 slots for Cadet ASP’s and Cadet Inspectors and asked the senator to pay N2million for all the slots.
The senator again directed his PA to pay N1.6million into the suspects account number.
