On The Arrest Of Adeyeye Olorunfemi The Rusticated UNILAG Student And Some Activists

Comrade Adeyeye Olorunfemi the rusticated UNILAG student and some other Activists have just been arrested by University of Lagos management. He was rusticated last year by the school management on his eve of graduation, a final year student for that matter, he was rusticated for two years because of Facebook post, comrade Femi stood on the side of the teeming oppressed Nigerian students and the outcome was rustication, he wrote against the draconian policies of the management towards his fellow students welfarism, he fought vehemently for the interest of common students. He was rusticated because he failed to dine and and wine and also be on the side of modern day oppressor. 

As matter of fact It's very imperative to bring it to university of Lagos management notice headed by the Vice Chancellor Rahman Bello that we are not under decree (kaaki ) we are in a civilian era (agbada), the Vice Chancellor Rahman Bello should trade with caution, we are not in banana republic, is he not aware that UNILAG is a microcosm of Nigeria society?, I don't understand what is happening in an institution that is meant to train future leaders that will contribute immensely to the development of the country. It is clearly stated categorically in Nigeria constitution in section 39 sub section (1) that Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference. So where is Adeyeye Olorunfemi freedom of expression? It is also stated in Nigeria constitution that  any law that is contrary to the one in the constitution shall be null and void, but the Vice Chancellor believes in supremacy of ordinary students handbook over Nigeria constitution. Adeyeye Olorunfemi expressed himself he was rusticated, humiliated, intimidated and arrested by the school management. Is it a sin to express yourself in Nigeria again?, if there is no freedom of expression again in Nigeria the constitution need to be amended then. 

Where is Femi Falana, Mike Ozekhome and other Nigeria prominent legal luminaries, if its Dino Melaye, Ali Ndume and custom boss case you will see them making noise, disturbing media with their legal terminologies, they are all after politicians, they all want court case that they will make Gbem money from, there is no activism in their profession again, they've all failed to realise that an Injustice to one is an injustice to all, the management should release him with immediate effect, or else they face the wrath of teeming Nigerian students, I condemn the arrest in it totality, we are not in state of nature, there are laws that guide the society and the constitution is supreme, we must not toy with fire in this country, we are not going to take this unscrupulous act of university of Lagos management anymore.
