Yinka Ayefele Debunks Rumour That He Is Now A Muslim, Says He Remains With Jesus

Gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele has said he remains a Christian, and nothing can make him change his faith. News went out yesterday that the Ibadan based gospel act has indeed converted into a Muslim, but the singer says never, stating clearly that he remains with Jesus. Here’s a press statement released by his publicist, David Ajiboye yesterday…

“We believe the rumour must have emanated from the annual Ramadan Lecture, which Fresh 105.9FM, owned by Ayefele, organized on Tuesday, in Ibadan.

“Our station, Fresh 105.9FM had invited popular Islamic preacher, Alhaji Muideen Ajani Bello, as the Guest Preacher at our annual Ramadan Lecture which had over 4,000 people in attendance and because of this, some naïve minds went to town to spread the rumour about Ayefele’s conversion.”

Ajiboye stated further that the station is for everybody irrespective of your religion, race or colour, adding: “We believe its part of our social responsibility to organize such a spiritual rebirth programme to sensitize our Muslim listeners on the ideals of Islam most especially in this holy season.”

Looters Should Vomit What They Stole So Nigeria Can Move On - EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says those who stole the resources of the country are holding Nigerians to ransom.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s director of public affairs, Osita Nwaja is upset and asking every treasury looter in the country, to vomit Nigeria’s money saying they are holding Nigerians to ransom by not bringing forth what they have stolen.

Speaking in Enugu yesterday, Osita said the common man is most times at the receiving end as they are always denied their basic needs. Hear him...

“We hear about all the crimes and all the criminals that are being investigated and prosecuted by the EFCC. Many of these people have direct link to the common man. The common man does not see always because they try to blur the line of that linkage how that man who is stealing billions and trillions relates to his very callous regrettable situation in life. Continue...

“How the money meant for road, money for hospitals to take care of pregnant women, to send children to school are disappearing into people’s accounts, and people’s pockets and people’s stomach.

“Just a few people and their families and their friends and their associates and they are holding the Nigerian people to ransom.

“Vomit what you stole. We gave you this thing to keep and you ate it and then you are claiming right.”

“You are throwing impunity at our faces and that is not right. And that is what EFCC is saying. It is not right,” he said.

Eleven Fake Naval Officers Nabbed In Rivers State

Eleven men suspected to be fake naval officers have been arrested in Rivers State. The suspects were said to have been parading themselves as navy personnel with different ranks before they were apprehended around the Rukpokwu Police checkpoint.

The outgoing Commander NNS Pathfinder, Commodore Sanusi Ibrahim, who disclosed this on while he was handing over the suspects to the Rivers Police Command, explained that they disguised as “merchant navy” with the aim of defrauding the public and some companies in the state.

Ibrahim stated that the Nigerian Air Force had earlier detected the suspects and went on to arrest them. The Air Force, according to Ibrahim, handed over the fake naval personnel to the Nigerian Navy.

He said, “On June 17, the Air Police of the 97 Special Operations Group, Nigerian Air Force Port Harcourt, arrested 11 civilians around the Rukpokwu police checkpoint parading themselves as naval personnel.

“The Air Force police later handed over the suspects to us (Navy) to enable us to ascertain if they were truly naval personnel, among other details.

“During investigation, the suspects claimed that they were merchant navy personnel, and which further findings revealed the organisation was fictitious.”

Blac Chyna's father has spoken out for the first time - saying he's overjoyed to become a grandfather again and gives his daughter and fiancé Rob Kardashian his 'full blessing'.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Online, Eric Holland, 49, from Maryland said he was really 'happy' that his daughter was engaged and expecting her second child.
'Oh yeah I'm happy of course - she knows that,''As soon as I found out I was all happy for her - they're having a baby and everything - she's got my blessings.'I met Rob he seems like a nice man - he was nice with me and everything so I'm happy for her.''I don't think that all this has hit her by surprise,' he added. 'She was always a little different you know - I always knew that she was gonna end up somewhere.
'She liked change she never liked to stay the same. She was always doing something different and wanted to achieve things - she was this way since she was 13 or 14 years old.'
Despite the model being about to join one of America's most famous families, dad Eric says she still makes time for her large extended family - including two half brothers and nine half sisters, who are mostly based in the Maryland and Virginia areas.
He added: 'She was at my little daughter Summer's birthday party two weeks ago and she took some pictures with everyone. It was really nice she made the effort for her sister.

'She's still in touch with all her family she's never forgotten her roots.''People might think that she is from a broken home but I know that's not true. I always told her it's not how you start - it's how you finish.'That's the most important part of life, you know. We all have our ups and downs but it's how you deal with them.'
And although he is pleased his daughter has found fame and fortune - he would rather stay out of the spotlight, unlike Chyna's mother Shalana Hunter who has given numerous interviews - and has even taken to social media to vent her feelings towards the Kardashian family.
'Yeah her mother has spoken but me, I'm a person who likes to stay out of the limelight so I haven't. It's her life and I'm happy for her but I have always stayed out of the whole thing.

'She kind of introduced me to the situation by taking a picture of me and saying "this is my father", and it kind of put me out there. But I always told her that's not who I am - I don't like all the attention

FCT Court Did Not Sack Ali Modu Sheriff - Adewale Oladipo

The former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prof. Adewale Oladipo, has stated that Ali Modu Sheriff was not sacked by an Abuja High Court saying that the ruling of the court has nothing to do with the election of Sheriff as the National Chairman.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Oladipo who is also battling to retain his seat said: “Our attention has been drawn to reports circulating in the media that a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has ousted the National Chairman of the PDP, Sen. Ali-Modu Sheriff.

“This is completely false and a clear misrepresentation of the ruling of the court as it never gave any ruling ousting the National Chairman.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the court only heard and delivered judgment on a matter concerning certain amendments in the PDP constitution, which has nothing to do with the election of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the National Chairman or even that of his predecessor, Alhaji Adamu Muazu.”

20-Year-Old Man Who 'Tried To Shoot Donald Trump At Campaign Rally' Faces 30 Years In Prison As He Is Charged

20-year-old, Michael Steven Sandford, 20, has been charged by a grand jury on Wednesday, with disrupting an official function and two firearm possession counts, U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden said.

Together, the charges could get him up to 30 years in prison.

Federal agents say Sandford told them he drove to Las Vegas from San Bernardino, California, with a plan to kill Trump.

He said he went to a Las Vegas gun range to learn to shoot the day before the incident at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino on June 18.

His father Paul Davey, 50, who traveled to the US to speak to his son in jail on Friday, said he was deeply shocked by Michael’s confession.

Mr Davey said: ‘I asked him what happened and he would only say that if Trump was elected, it would change the world and that somebody had to stand up for America.

‘I have never heard him talk like that before. I can’t understand why he was so motivated and politicized that he thought grabbing a gun from a policeman was a good idea.’

Mr Davey said, after spending an hour talking to his son that he believes Michael was brainwashed.

Yahaya Bello Emerged Kogi Governor For A Purpose – Pastor Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor Williams F. Kumuyi, has said the emergence of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as Kogi governor was orchestrated by God for a purpose.

Kumuyi, who said this on Monday evening when he was received at the Government House Lokoja by the Governor, urged the people of the state to pray and rally support for the governor to enable him fulfill the plans of God for the state.

Amongst those that received Pastor Kumuyi include the state's Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja, Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike, commissioners and other top government functionaries.

The man of God hinted the governor that he was in the state with his delegation for a one day crusade with the theme: "Night of Miracle Explosion," which he said would bring down the mighty power of God upon the people.

"I believe that our coming here will be a great blessing for this state. We rejoice with our Executive Governor how God himself providentially brought him into power at such a time as this in Kogi state for a purpose and that purpose that The Lord has in mind, He will fulfill it.

"I pray that his time will witness peace, progress and prosperity for Kogi State. All the challenges we all seem to have, as we rally round him with supports and prayers, I believe that by the time he finishes his term or terms, we will be able to look back and thank God that he was the one at the helms of affairs of this," Kumuyi said.

The Pastor urged Bello and his cabinet to be transparent and have the fear of God in conducting the affairs of the state.

Speaking at the reception, Governor Bello described the visit of Pastor Kumuyi to Kogi as wonderful and a dream come through for himself and people of the state.

"I said this because, this a holy month and receiving a holy man of God from the Christian faith in this holy month of Ramadan, it is indeed a wonderful day. This a man of God I have always dreamt in my life to meet. When I was in the primary school, I read one of his books that he wrote, 'Examine Yourself.' From that moment, I have always examined myself in everything I do," he said.

He expressed the confidence that the visit of the man of God and his prayers for the state would bring down blessings and address the challenges bedeviling the state.

Dubai Homes: Blame Boko Haram Insurgents For It- Tukur Buratai

Chief of army staff, Tukur Buratai, has blamed Boko Haram for the reports of his assets in Dubai. The report generated controversy last week, but the government has since absolved the army chief of any wrongdoing.

But speaking at a media briefing to flag-off the Nigerian army day celebration, the number one army officer described the report as a distraction to the war against insurgency.

“I am not supposed to comment on this because the federal government has already made a statement on that through the ministry of defence. But if you want my take on the issue, it is that we have already defeated the terrorists and the insurgents on the land, now they have migrated to the cyberspace, they have migrated to the Internet and other electronic media and so on.

“We want to assure them that these terrorists, the Boko Haram terrorists, who have migrated to the cyberspace, we will follow them to that cyberspace, and equally defeat them and clear their doubts.
We are meeting all the terrorists in the cyberspace, we have defeated them, in the battle ground. We are developing our own cyber warriors and we will defeat them as we have done in the north-east.”
