Morning S3x Is Very Important, Lowers Blood Pressure And Reduces Risks Of Heart Attack - Nigerian Professor

Prof. Musa Yakubu of University of Ilorin has said having s3x in the early morning lowers blood pressure and reduces risks of heart attack.

Yakubu of the Department of Biochemistry made the assertion in a paper, “Knocking Down the Barriers to Four O’Clock Activities and Reproductive Inadequacies”, presented at the 163rd Inaugural lecture of the university on Friday.

He said that having s3xual intercourse, three to four times a week, was good for love life.

“Research has shown that s3x boosts immune system by stimulating the body’s first line of defence and production of immunoglobulin A (IgA), against cold and fever,” he said.

Immunoglobulin A is one of the most common antibodies in the body system. Antibodies are proteins made by the immune system to fight bacteria, viruses, and toxins.

S3x, according to Yakubu also regulates menstruation in women by influencing the levels of lutenizing hormones that control menstrual period and promote better sleep.

He said s3x also releases the feel-good chemical, known as oxytocin, which enhances closeness with one’s partner and makes people feel happier for a longer period of time.

“Lovemaking of about 20 minutes reduces 150 calories,” he said.

The professor of Biochemistry postulated that sex is the most powerful creative force given to human by God for pleasure and deep companionship.

Yakubu, however, noted that any marriage in which the man or woman could not enjoy sexual intercourse or satisfy their partner in bed was a dead marriage.

He said lack of s3xual satisfaction had led to the collapse of many marriages in Nigeria, and urged couples to seek for solutions to the problem.

“Sexual and reproductive dysfunctions are common among men and women in Nigeria, which necessitates regular screening and check-ups,” he said.

He also said that traditional medicines had been authenticated to cure s3xual dysfunctions.

Independence: What America Said To Nigeria (Read)

The United States of America has congratulated Nigeria as it marks its 56th Independence Anniversary tomorrow, October 1st. According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the US message was conveyed on behalf of President Barack Obama and the American people by the US Secretary of State, John Kerry. It reads;

“On behalf of President Obama and the American people, I congratulate the citizens of Nigeria as you celebrate your Independence Day on October 1.

I recently returned from my third trip to Nigeria as Secretary, and I came away with a strong sense of the nation’s resolve to build a better future. During my trip, I was reminded that many Nigerians are engaged in bringing people together across the divides of culture, religious practices, and ethnicity.

“There is still much work to be done to provide economic opportunities for all, end corruption, win the fight against Boko Haram, ensure broad respect for human rights and provide humanitarian relief for millions of displaced people.

“But we know that Nigerians are hard at work to address these challenges.

“The United States looks forward to deepening our partnership and friendship with Nigerians from all walks of life, so that we may work together for the betterment of Nigeria and all of Africa.

“Best wishes to all of you on this the 56th anniversary of your independence.”

House Suspension: Court To Hear Abdulmumin Jibrin's Suit October 21st

A Federal High Court in Abuja today fixed October 21 for hearing in a suit filed by Abdulmumin Jibrin, a former Chairman, Appropriation Committee, House of Representatives, ‎ challenging his suspension from the House.

It will be recalled that the Kano lawmaker was on Wednesday suspended by the House of Representatives for 180 legislative days.

This happened while the embattled legislator’s suit which he filed earlier on August 9, 2016, then seeking a court order to stop any plan by the lower legislative chamber to suspend him, was still pending before the court.

9 Herdsmen, 589 Street Workers Arrested, Charged To Court In Abuja

The Abuja Environmental Protection Board, has arrested nine herdsmen and confiscated 25 cows and 51 sheep for illegal grazing in the Federal Capital Territory.

It stated that the herdsmen were penalised by the mobile court which imposed fines ranging from N3,000 to N7,000 on them.

The acting Director of the board, Mrs. Omolola Olanipekun, who disclosed this at a press briefing on Friday in Abuja, added that 589 street hawkers were also arrested and fined by the mobile court.

Responding to questions about the directive from the Chairman, Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Dino Melaye, that cattle found grazing in Abuja, should be slaughtered by the FCT Administration, Olanipekun said compliance with the directive may lead to violence.

She said, “We don’t want a repeat of what is happening in other states, we don’t want loss of lives because of cattle.

“We have met with the cattle rearers and they promised that they would try and get their people off the streets, but unfortunately, they did not fully comply. We have been arresting them and we discovered that there is another group that we have not met.

“We are preparing to meet with them and let them know that we don’t want cows in the city. If we start killing them (cattle), like the senator wants us to do, they would react and we don’t want bloodshed here. Very soon, I promise, the cattle would be where they are supposed to be.”

Nollywood 'Fine Boys' Are Turning To Gigolos To Survive This Recession

Talented and fast-rising Nollywood actor, Davidson Uchenna Dikeocha has decried the impact of the current Nigerian economic downturn on practitioners of the Nigerian movie industry.

In a chat with News Every Hour, while on set of “The X-List”, a new romance/suspense film, the 6ft tall actor dropped a bombshell. Many flashy actors who don't want to be seen as broke with the way the economy is going are now getting desperate.

While some actress are showing off their 'assets' on the social media anyhow to attract lose men, the actors too don't want to be left behind...

Actor Davidson said: “My role in the movie ‘The X-List’, my character in the movie was maxwell, best friend to Fred. Fred is a big time playboy who became haunted by his past life just when he was ready to settle down with the love of his life, and I must tell you that his role is not far from what happens nowadays among the youths; among the so called ‘fine boys’. It’s disturbing how many youths have developed a penchant for being ‘playboys’ and ‘gigolos’. It’s disturbing!

"I tell you, even in Nollywood. It’s on the increase lately especially with the ongoing economy recession; many good looking actors have turned into glorified gigolos sleeping around with rich women and many of these women are married. Imagine that. The excuse many of these fine boys give is that ‘boys must survive na’. But what I’m trying to say is that every lifestyle you indulge in will sooner or later catch up with you. There is a repercussion for everything.

“I am from a strong Christian home. I can't compromise my integrity for money. Importantly, I won’t stop insisting that actors should diversify. Don't make yourself a ‘s*x hawkers’.

OMG! Fight Broke Out As Wife Storms Venue Of Husband's Wedding To New Girlfriend (Photo)

There was confusion at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts yesterday after a wife stormed the wedding between her husband and his new lover. The wife identified as Magdalene Chamunorwa showed up at the court in the company of her relatives and thoroughly beat up the said girlfriend.

She revealed to the marriage officer, Mr Tendai Mahwe, that the groom, Gift Singano, was her husband and that they have four children together.

She stormed into the wedding room moments before Singano exchanged vows with his new babe Francisca Kanyama. The drama was taken outside the court building where Magdalene exchanged blows with Francisca, who was still clad in her wedding gown.

The fight happened in full view of Singano who watched helplessly as his wife and lover got down to “business”. Onlookers, who were attending to their court businesses, cheered the fight and accused Kanyama of being a husband snatcher.

“He is my husband and we got married in 1992. I only discovered he wanted to marry his girlfriend when I saw a profile picture of her on his phone. We stay together in our matrimonial house in Crowborough here in Harare but he leaves me in the house and goes to co-habit with his girlfriend in Mufakose,” said the wife.

The man Singano confirmed that he has four children with Magdalene, but submitted that he divorced her five years ago. “We divorced in 2011 because she was too violent and I decided to end the marriage and left the house,” he said.

I Was Drunk When I R*ped My Daughter But She Was Not A Virgin – Father Says

A 49-year-old, businessman, Uchena Elumadu, who allegedly r*ped his daughter in the Agege area of Lagos, has confessed to the act, claiming that he was drunk the first time he r*ped her.

Funny enough, Mr. Elumadu claimed that it was his friends who made him drink too much.
It was reported that the Imo State indigene r*ped his first child at their home on Martins Street, new Oko Oba, Agege, each time his wife was not around.

He was said to have administered drug on her each time he slept with her to prevent pregnancy.

Mr Elumadu, who was paraded before pressmen on Thursday after he was arrested, said he had only slept with his daughter twice.

He said, “I don’t know what came over me. I have only r*ped her twice. My wife doesn’t know I have been doing this. I first slept with her sometime last year.

“That day, I had gone for a naming ceremony and I was drunk. My friend had abused me that I always took non-alcoholic drinks and I should try a little alcohol. It was the little I took that made me misbehave. The second time, I was in the house with my wife when I sneaked into the room and r*ped her.

“I was not the one that deflowered her. When I slept with her the first time and I asked why she was not a virgin, she could not answer me. I have committed a great sin and I have asked God to forgive my wrong.”

The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said the father would be charged to court.

Notorious Kidnappers Arrested While Spending N12m Ransom Money In Lagos

Men of the Nigeria Police in Lagos have arrested two deadly kidnappers who abducted three landlords and their physical trainer near Lekki Gardens Estate, Isheri along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, few weeks ago.

One of the arrested suspects identified as James Kegbe alias JJ, an indigene of Arogbo in Ese Odo area of Ondo State had been on a spending spree in Ore after collecting N1.2million as his share of the total ransom of N12million they collected.

According to report, the suspects were arrested by the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team in Ondo State where they temporarily relocated to after the Isheri operation.

He allegedly confessed to the police that he was part of the gang that abducted the landlords. He has also named other members of his gang as Julius, Victor, Trust, Senior Man, John and Prince.

Police detectives are on the trail of others.

Lol! Almost All The Ladies Awaiting Trial In Nigerian Prisons Pregnant

The National Human Rights Commission says 90 percent of women awaiting trial in prisons across the country are either nursing mothers or pregnant.

The Executive Secretary of the commission, Prof. Bem Angwe, made this known when he received the National President, National Council of Women Societies, Mrs. Gloria Shoda, in his office in Abuja on Monday.

Prof. Angwe said the facts were derived from the commission’s recent prison audit in the country.

He said the commission needed the collaboration of the NCWS to provide an immediate intervention in this regard.

“In our prisons today, we have a lot of nursing mothers who are being locked up with their children and are nursing these children in the prison cells.

“We also have instances where such women who are still carrying babies in prison are also pregnant.

“It is also sad to note that more than 90 per cent of these nursing mothers are still awaiting trial. These are women that should have been released on bail while awaiting their trial.

“But they are kept there in prison with their children who are made to serve prison terms when their mothers are not yet convicted," Angwe said.

Angwe said that the commission was particularly concerned because there was no amount of compensation that would be given to such a child or even the mother that would be commensurate with the hardship suffered.

"One therefore wonders how in a situation where such mothers are eventually discharged as innocent citizens, how much compensation can be given to a child who is made to pass through the conditions that we presently have in our prisons."

I Received $4m Cash From Jonathan's Aide, Dudafa - Witness Tells Court

A witness in the trial of former Senior Special Assistant of Domestic Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, Waripamo-Owei Dudafa, Murtala Abubakar who is a bureau de change operator, yesterday told the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos how he got $4 million cash from Dudafa for immediate conversion into Naira.

Dudafa is currently standing trial on a 23-count charge of concealment, retention of proceeds of crime, and failure to furnish information before Justice Mohammed Idris.

According to The Nation, Abubakar while testifying before the court, recounted how he received about N1.6 billion from Dudafa through five companies – Pluto Properties and Investment Limited, Avalon Global Property, Rotato Interlink Services, Seagate Property and Ebiwise Services Limited – between 2013 and 2015.

Mustapha said he had known Dudafa since his days as Commissioner for Local Government in Bayelsa State.“He (Mr. Dudafa) usually sent two of his employees – Festus and Jahman – with dollars in order to change same and deposit the naira equivalent into specific accounts he provided via text messages,” he said

According to Abubakar, he received those text messages from Mr. Dudafa on his Samsung mobile phone. The mobile phone and an Ownership Attestation Form were admitted and marked as Exhibits E and E1 respectively.

When asked whether all the instructions on how to disburse the money were received via text messages, the witness said yes but added that in the last transaction, Dudafa invited him to the Presidential Villa and handed to him $4 million cash.

The witness was confronted with exhibits A – B3 in which he identified all the transactions that transpired between himself and Dudafa from 2013 to 2015 both from his companies’ accounts and his personal account.

Actor Kalu Ikeagwu Arrested From His Home In Ogba, Over Robbery Incident

Popular Nollywood actor, Kalu Ikeagwu, who recently got married, was arrested at his home in Ogba area of Lagos on Monday by security operatives. He was picked up in connection with a robbery and homicide case which took place in Abuja.

According to Ecomium, Kalu was taken to the police station for questioning as a result of a stolen phone he bought which was connected to a robbery incident where one of the victims was killed.

Kalu had been approached in his home by the security agents and had been invited for questioning but when he began to argue with them, the men brought out their guns before taking him away.

His wife and stepdaughter were reportedly left in tears.

Fortunately, Kalu was later released and returned home around 8:30pm and he reportedly explained to his worried neighbours that his personal assistant 'mistakenly' bought a stolen phone at Computer Village in Ikeja and the thieves reportedly killed one of the victims of the robbery.

The phone was traced to Lagos by the security agents who tracked him down since his address and name were used during the purchase.

Sale Of National Assets: NLC Mobilises For Nationwide Protest

Organised labour, yesterday, said it was mobilising to confront the Federal Government over its decision to sell some national assets which had before now sustained the nation’s economy.

Organised Labour’s declaration came on a day the National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, NUTGTWN, cautioned President Muhammadu Buhari against planned sale of the assets.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, president of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, described the proposed decision of the government to dispose of the national assets as reckless auctioning of the nation’s commonwealth to a coterie of capitalists and government’s close associates.

Wabba, who also inaugurated a committee, alongside the Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ASUU, to engage the Federal Government on the issue, said if the dialogue with the government to stop the sale of national assets failed, it would mobilise its members across the country to embark on a nationwide protest.

He said that the congress was also considering the option of dragging the Federal Government to court, saying at least 20 lawyers had indicated interest to represent the Congress in court.

Wabba admitted that the congress had been passive on several national issues, but assured that it would engage government vigorously and ensure that the assets were not sold.

He said the NLC decided to engage the services of intellectuals to come out with alternative policy ideas besides the ones being canvassed by government.

Selling National Assets Will Be A Historic Mistake - Charles Soludo

The federal government will be repeating mistakes of the past should it sell some of the nation’s assets as has been proposed in some quarters, Chukwuma Soludo, former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has said.

Asset sale has recently emerged as one of the strategies for Nigeria’s quick exit from its current economic recession, and notable public figures have argued for and against it.

Writing on the subject on Monday, Soludo said he initially labelled the asset sale suggestion a “joke” when it first began to emerge, but when the senate and NEC joined the “convenient but flawed call”, he decided to lend a voice to the matter.

He said that although he would ordinarily not join issues, the matter in question is “critical”, especially due to the assumption that the move would help to “build reserves and provide funds for immediate spending” and thus ensure that this recession will be the “shortest” ever.

“Part of the legacy of the oil resource curse on matters of public finance is a mindset that resorts to easy, albeit lazy approach to ‘quick fixes’ — with a gaze on the short term even when the issues are structurally long-term. So, I understand the mental framework that drives such a proposal especially given the pressures to show immediate results,” he said.

“But for the record, it is our considered view that the proposal is based on a false foundation. Our thesis is that in extreme, exceptional circumstances, sale of certain assets could be a last resort option but that Nigeria is currently not near that threshold and the institutional framework for its effective use is also not in place.

“Furthermore, we argue that any sale of assets now amounts to chasing pennies when by acts of omission or commission, we are losing pounds. Such a hasty auction of national assets can only benefit a privileged few with cash and access while jeopardizing Nigeria’s long-term economic interests. It will be a historic mistake….”

OPC Tortures Pastor Over Wife’s Death In Ogun State (Photo)

A pastor with the Christ Apostolic Church, Onigbogbo, Atan Ota, Ogun State, Pastor Olusegun Omoniyi, is critically ill after he was allegedly abducted and tortured by some members of the Oodua
 People’s Congress.

It was learnt that 45-year-old Omoniyi had also gone into hiding after he was rescued by policemen from the Sango Area Command. He said he feared for his life as the OPC members had threatened to recapture and kill him.

Punch Metro learnt that the OPC members were acting on the instruction of some relatives of Omoniyi’s late wife, Omolade, who had vowed to deal with him over the sickness and subsequent death of the woman.

Punch correspondent gathered that Omoniyi and his wife married in 1999 and had a set of twins in 2000. However, the twins were said to have died shortly after they were born.

It was learnt that since the death of the children, the couple had not been able to have any child, which resulted in pressures from Omolade’s family.

Early 2015, the wife was reported to have left the cleric despite entreaties from church leaders and relatives of the husband.

Punch Metro gathered that seven months after separating from the husband, the 42-year-old was attacked by a strange illness.

Omoniyi said, “She had told me that her family members didn’t want her to continue living with me, but I begged her to stay.

“However, sometime in 2015, I went for a church meeting when some of her family members came. They took away her property. Attempts at getting her family members to reconcile us were abortive as they said she had made her choice.

“However, in July 2015, I was told she was sick. On the instruction of the church leadership, I went with some other elders to give her N50,000. But her brother did not allow us to see her, saying I should go alone to see her. We refused.

“On February 6, 2016, while I was leading a church programme around 10am, four men entered the church. Two of them were OPC members and the others – Adebayo and Stephen – were my wife’s relatives. While I was on the altar, the two OPC members said they had come to take me away.

“I told them that I would not follow them since I did not know where they were taking me to. They beat me up and one of them showed me a gun and said if I didn’t cooperate, he would kill me.”

Omoniyi said he was thrown into a car belonging to his wife’s eldest brother, adding that he was blindfolded throughout the journey.

The cleric explained that he later found himself in Ijoko, the camp of the OPC, saying the men tortured him before taking him inside a clinic where his wife had been admitted.

“In one of the rooms, I saw my wife on the bed. Her legs were swollen and there was blood all over the place. I asked her why she left the house and what I did wrong.

“While talking to her, my in-laws started beating me. I have never suffered such torture. I told my wife right there that God would judge our matter,” he added.

He said he sneaked into the clinic’s toilet where he made a call to a church leader informing him of his location, adding that the latter informed the police who stormed the area and rescued him was learnt that Omolade died the following day.

The church leadership was reported to have sent a delegation to condole with the family, and Omoniyi also accompanied the men.

It was learnt that the deceased’s family allegedly attacked the group, insisting that Omoniyi must take his wife’s corpse with him.

“To appease them, I told them to find where they would bury her and I would bear part of the cost, but they refused.

“As I was leaving, they blocked the road and said they would burn the two vehicles we took there. The OPC members, who had earlier abducted me, came and dragged me to where the corpse was.

“After beating me again, they put me on the corpse and said I must die with her. They put me in a car with the corpse. I couldn’t recognise anybody until I saw some policemen who rescued me the second time,” he said.

Omoniyi said he was taken to a private hospital, adding that the location was not disclosed to protect his life. He alleged that a top police officer was also backing his in-laws, saying he had gone into hiding for security reasons.

He lamented that his wife’s family had taken away his landed property, adding that his life was in danger.

Punch correspondent learnt that the matter had already got to the CAC supreme council and the church had not been able to resolve the case as Omolade’s eldest brother was a top pastor in the church.

Punch Metro saw petitions addressed to the Inspector-General of Police, Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2, Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Area Commander, Sango-Ota, Officer-in-charge, Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Abeokuta, among others.

The petitions called for the arrest of Omoniyi’s in-laws and the OPC members for the alleged abduction and torture.

Punch correspondent was told that nothing had been done on the petitions.

Exposing Buttocks, Running N3ked In Public Now A Crime In Australian

Exposing bare buttocks in public and running naked in a public place to shock or amuse have been officially made a crime in the Australian state of Victoria, it was revealed on Monday.

"Mooning or streaking," which was previously punishable under other laws, has now been specifically named as offence in the amendment of legislation that also includes sexual crimes.

The revised Summary Offences Act 1966 states that "behaviour that is indecent, offensive or insulting includes behaviour that involves a person exposing (to any extent) the person's anal or genital region" and mentions "mooning or streaking" as an example of such an offence.

First-time offenders could face two months in jail while repeat offenders could be locked up for six months, according to the legislation.

Victoria's Attorney General Martin Pakula told local 3AW radio that it was always an offence but the legislation separates less serious indecent exposure from more serious sexual exposure.

"Sexual exposure is of course a much more serious offence. We don't want a situation where someone who might streak at the cricket is funnelled into the same category as someone who might jump out in front of a 13-year-old girl and flash," he said on Monday.

"They are very different types of offences and the legislation for the first time makes that clear."

Pakula said if it was not mentioned as an offence, "you could have people simply doing it everyday with no possibility of any kind of sanction."

The same act also outlaws singing "an obscene song or ballad" and behaving in a "riotous, indecent, offensive or insulting manner."

At an annual event in February, local residents of the town of Livingstone in Australia's Northern Territory welcome visitors coming by the luxury Ghan train from Adelaide to Darwin by "mooning" them.
