Violence In APC Headquarter Over Kogi Election In Abuja

Violence erupted outside the APC headquarters in Abuja this afternoon over the inconclusive election in Kogi State. Some thugs numbering over a thousand attempted to attack the party's choice in the December 5th supplementary election, Yahaya Bello as he arrived the secretariat this afternoon to attend a meeting with top party leaders.

Governor Idris Wada of Kogi state has categorically told the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the votes garnered by late Prince Abubakar Audu of the All Progressives Congress have died with him.

APC Deputy Governorship candidate in the Kogi state November 21st governorship election, James Abiodun Faleke says he's picked late Audu Abubakar's son, Mohammed to be his deputy governor once he is declared governor by INEC. Seven persons have been confirmed killed after a Female suicide bomber attacked an IDP camp in Borno State Today. Eyewitnesses say the suicide bomber infiltrated a queue where IDPs were being screened for onward evacuation from Dikwa Local government council to a makeshift camp in Maiduguri. Three officials of the Civilian Joint Task Force were also injured in the attack.

The Leader of the gang that robbed some banks at the Agbara Housing Estate in Ogun state last week Thursday, has been arrested in Sapele, Delta state. The police in Lagos have arrested a housewife, Grace Monday, (pictured above) for allegedly torturing her three-year-old niece, Miracle Peter, to a coma.

It was learnt that Monday allegedly flogged the victim for several hours at their home in the Ireodun, Agege area of Lagos State and subsequently slammed her head against a wall causing the toddler to faint.
