Violence In APC Headquarter Over Kogi Election In Abuja


Violence erupted outside the APC headquarters in Abuja this afternoon over the inconclusive election in Kogi State. Some thugs numbering over a thousand attempted to attack the party's choice in the December 5th supplementary election, Yahaya Bello as he arrived the secretariat this afternoon to attend a meeting with top party leaders.

Eighteen persons have lost their lives in an accident that occurred around 5.45am this morning on Abuja-Lokoja road. The Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr Ogochukwu Ugboma who confirmed the accident, said 16 men and two women died in the mishap. 56 other persons, including a female child, sustained injuries.
