Senator David Mark Builds 3,000 Seat Capacity Church For His Hometown In Benue State (Photo)

Nigeria’s former Senate President, David Mark, has donated a church to his community, Oturkpo, in Benue State.

The 3,000-seat capacity building for St. Augustine Catholic Church would be formally dedicated on Saturday.

“I am fulfilled and humbled because God has used me as an instrument for the realization of this church,” Mr. Mark said.

“I thank the Almighty God for his faithfulness, mercy, grace and blessing on me and my family. I can never quantify or measure his kindness and blessing. I will serve God and humanity for the rest of my life," he added.

The donation comes as corruption investigation of Mr. Mark continues at the EFCC. The EFCC said Mr. Mark mismanaged government funds during his tenure as Senate President and also procured a public property without following due process.

Mark is also being probed by the presidential committee on the recovery of stolen government property.
