Twist Of Fate is the show which has India’s attention and has made it a habit to top the TRP charts week after week. However, show’s major character Purab aka Arjit Taneja seems to have had enough of the show.
For months, there has been speculation that Arjit will quit the show as his romantic track with Bulbul (Mrunal Thakur) came to an end after she left the show. On Twist of Fate, the thread ended with Bulbul’s death.
And Bollywoodlife.com has now confirmed that Arjit is indeed saying goodbye to the show. Balaji, the producers behind Twist of Fate, have decided to let him go and the audience will soon see a new Purab.
Twist of Fate began as an Indian take on jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Sriti Jha and Mrunal played the two sisters in the show who were paired with Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) and Purab. There was a parallel thread where Abhi’s sister Aaliya (Shikha Singh) also fell for Purab. With Mrunal leaving, Purab’s character became very one-dimensional.
Arjit started feeling he had nothing much to do and was contemplating a new venture. The show is at present dealing with Abhi and Pragya (Sriti’s character) love life where Abhi has ostensibly lost his memory.
The cast bid an emotional adieu to the actor recently and Shabir also shared a picture with Arjit and Sriti. Earlier, Shikha had also shared a message on social media, asking Arjit to continue on the show.
Arjit made his debut in Ekta Kapoor’s BadeAcche Lagte Hain and was also seen on Balaji Telefilms’ reality series, the serials on channel V.
